Quantum Field Theory and String Theory Group
String Theory along with other approaches to Quantum Gravity is one of the
important directions of research of the iPhT.
The main activity of the laboratory in this
area covers string theory in time-dependent background and the associated Liouville
models, c = 1 and large-N matrix models, various aspects of the AdS-CFT correspondence
and the integrability of N = 4 gauge theories, the compactifications of string theory, the
structure of N = 1 and N = 2 low energy limits and their relation with pure spinor
formalism and Hitchin functionals,
Logarithmic conformal field theory, conformal field theory on non compact
and or super target spaces, integrable field theories, applications of
field theory to condensed matter.
