In the framework of a project for the Societe du Grand Paris, the IPhT is looking for candidates to fill a postdoctoral position in modeling the relation between accessibility and economic activity.
This work will take place in a multidisciplinary environment composed of physicists, economists, and geographers. This study has different components ranging from the empirical analysis of spatial data to the modeling of socio-economical processes. An experience in modeling complex systems and analyzing empirical data is a plus. Computational skills are required (python, C++, …) with ideally some experience with GIS tools. Experience with economics is not required but is a plus.
