Adam Bzowski - Holographic Toy-Model for AdS Black Holes
It is believed that black holes exhibit a variety of peculiarities and inconsistencies, e.g., state-dependence, firewalls... I will show how such properties naturally emerge in an effective, low-energy description of simple quantum mechanical systems.
Ruben Monten - Higher spin de Sitter Hilbert space
Almost as old as AdS/CFT is the idea that the physics of asymptotically de Sitter spacetimes can also be described holographically. I will give an introduction of what is known to work/fail in these proposals, why this correspondence seems to work well for higher-spin theories and some recent insights that lead to a complete proposal for higher-spin gravity in de Sitter space.
